This A/C has all Mk IV upgrades, lexan covered baggage, elect elev trim, upholstry, and wing trailing edges. Panel includes 760 Radio, Mode C Transponder, and the usual flight instruments. Airframe has 322 hours now. Engine has 12 hours. I have thoroughly enjoyed this A/C, I find it quite versatile.

This is a rebuild of a crashed airplane with extensive modifications. I've relocated the radiator (lower front, which necessitated redesigning the cowling), replaced the square rudder with a Mark IV type, installed differential flapperon mechanism, and made it into a tricycle gear.

First flight was on June 27, 1997. And what an experience it was, (great and flawless flight.) It is the taildragger version that makes you want to just keep looking at. It took a month to get it to the Airport because I had to still build a trailer after it was signed off. I just completed the first annual and to decarbonize the pistons and rings so while it was down I also ported and polished the jugs. Almost forgot to say what blast it is to fly.

Engine was originally a Rotax 532 with B box. I am changing it over to a BMW boxer engine with a C box. This proved to be very rough at low speeds so a clutch is being added. Plane may first be flown as an ultralight trainer.

This is one of the early Avid Amphibians, the predecessor to the Avid Catalina. It has about 400 hours on the airframe, and about 100 on the currently installed Rotax 582. The aircraft started life with a Rotax 532 and a fixed pitch wood prop; then upgraded to an in-flight adjustable 3-bladed IVO, and now has a 3-blade fixed Warp Drive prop.
