The 503 is sufficient to get it off the ground quickly and climb nicely but the cruise speed is between 65/70mph. It does have fixed gear. With retracts and a 65hp, the cruise will improve but I'm having too much fun to have it down for such a conversion. It draws crowds. See it at http://davidleewaters.com/.
