VariViggen SP Ray Wall asi1@gte.net Grand Prairie, Texas, United States 100% - Flying Lycoming O-320-E2D (Lyc Mod to 172HP with PS5 Pressure Carb) N557VV This aircraft (SN557) is being totally restored at present and should be in test flight by April 1999. It will be IFR capable with GPS moving map. Cruise should be approximately 150 Kts and a 40 gallon fuel tank has been installed making it an excellent Xcountry aircraft. Plans are to show it at various airshows around the country so that aviation buffs can see what Rutan's first design looks like and learn about true safety by design. |
