Highly modified basic Steen Skybolt primary structure. Wing attachments moved forward 6" for C/G, gear extended 10.5" for prop clearance. Tail area enlarged 10% for torque, shape of fin and rudder changed. Anyone else building or thinking of modifing a Skybolt airframe can contact me at 606-925-3248.

Flying Since 98'. Made the journey to Oshkosh in 99'. Time to complete was about 3 1/2 years. Excellent flying machine. I'm a low time pilot (125 hrs) with most my hours in a 65hp Clipped Wing Cub. The Skybolt handles on the ground allot like the Cub. In the air there are no comparisons. Ours cruises at 160mph, (open cockpit.) The controls are very light and very responsive and it will do just about anything you ask of it. Just an overall great flying machine.
